This old building is not going to be around much longer. As I was backing up to get a good photo of the school, I once again noticed the interesting reflection in the puddles. The building is painted in with light washes of grey and violet. After carefully painting around each puddle with washes of brown and yellow, the puddles were all painted in using blue and gradually darkened as I came down.

When Chad’s tug tied up in Davenport, I went down to take a picture. The sun was shining on the wrong side, so feeling a little disappointed, I started to leave. A VOICE CALL OUT, “Can I help you?” When I told the young lady volunteer what I was trying to do, she offered to take me out on a rowboat so I could get the kind of shot I had in mind. Thanks to her, I got some great pictures. A week later, when the painting was finished, I called Chad. He came straight to my house and bought it.
